Sound Familiar?
Your knee, back or shoulder niggles every few weeks, and you're not sure why
You've been told to "stretch more" or "strengthen your core" and nothing's changed
You're guessing whether to rest, rehab or train through it
Pain usually shows up where your body is compensating, not where the problem started. A stiff ankle shows up as a sore knee. A locked-up upper back shows up as a cranky shoulder. The screen helps you find where it starts.
What's inside
Heading: The 11 tests
- Overhead Squat: where you compensate first
- Ankle Mobility: the hidden driver of knee pain
- Squat Width: the stance that fits your hips
- Global Flexion: how your spine and hips share load
- Global Extension: whether your lower back is overworking
- T-Spine: the stiffness behind neck and shoulder niggles
- Hip Rotation: why one side never feels right
- Hip Flexion & Extension: the truth about "tight hip flexors"
- Push-Up: shoulder blade control under load
- Wall Slides: getting overhead without your back cheating
- Shoulder Rotation: the gap behind sore shoulders when pressing and pulling
Who's running the screen
I'm Chris Cherry, an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with two Master's degrees in Exercise Physiology and 15+ years in strength & conditioning. I coach a school High-Performance Sport Program and conduct research through Southern Cross University.
I teach these same assessments to other Exercise Physiologists in my ESSA-accredited course. This is the first time I've shared them publicly.
